You might be familiar with Neko Atsume, the cat-collecting simulation app that has found a cult following in Europe and the US, despite being entirely in Japanese. It’s cute, fun, and quite different from the mobile games we usually play in the Western world.
There are plenty of other games made in Japan sharing a similar spirit, hidden in the app stores. In this talk Lorenzo Pilia is going to showcase some of these games, so you’ll have something new to play and show your frienda, and highlight a few design decisions and details that game makers might find inspiring.
